Why should you be an Artist on cXc Music
There are two ways to use cXc Music, one is as an artist, sharing original music to the world. The other is as a listener, discovering music to love. You can be both!

A better place to Promote your Music
We built cXc because we are artists, and so are lots of our friends.
We witnessed how hard it was for really good music to get attention without unreliable viral success or a big advertising budget.
cXc Music was created to bring equal opportunities for artists to promote their music and get local and global exposure for free.
Why is this different from the current system?
cXc Music is not another app like Spotify, Soundcloud or many others. We organize the music already out there and put it on a world map.
Every song on the map is stored in the city where it was posted. People globally vote to decide the local city-wide charts, and songs that do well here go on to compete in the larger charts, but never in another city’s chart.
This means that no matter how popular Drake’s new track is, it’s not going to show on the charts of every city in the world, only the one where it was created, like Toronto.
This exclusion of music allows for both organic growth of music, and the ability for listeners to focus on the music of just one location without distractions from international chart-toppers.

How?
cXc Music gives each user a limited amount of votes per day, called UPs. Fans vote on music, and votes are counted at a local level.
The amount of UPs on a song determine the chart position at all levels: cities, counties, states, nations and globally*.
*Currently, jurisdictions smaller than a nation ( namely; cities, counties and states) are only available in the United States.
We will add local charts of additional nations one at a time by the amount of music and UPs. You can help your nation’s cities get their own charts by adding and UPing local music!
As your music gets votes, it will show up on charts, and get physically bigger on the map, helping you to gain exposure and recognition.
Your Fans Votes are Powerful
When somebody votes on your song (using Sol), it helps other people discover it, and directly contribute to you, the artist, as you receive Blue for each vote you get.
In the near future, artists will be able to exchange Blue into PURPLE, our Smart Media Token. Then, artists can get rewarded financially. We are waiting
But for now, artists can use these Blue chips to promote their music because Blue UPs and Sol UPs are worth the same.
